Fair Fare gives estimates, not quotes. Taxi figures come from each city's official meter tariff and assume normal traffic; tolls, waiting, detours and extras the tariff allows can change the real fare. Uber and Lyft figures for New York come from the city's public trip records and show typical prices, not the price your app will offer. Airport facts come from each airport's own pages and can change. Fair Fare doesn't book rides, take payment or work for any taxi or ride company.
The "was I overcharged" check compares what you paid with these estimates. It is a guide to help you ask for a review, not a legal finding about any driver or company.
Pre-booked airport transfer links (Kiwitaxi) are affiliate links: the company may pay Fair Fare a commission when you book, at no extra cost to you. Links to Uber, Lyft and public transport are plain links, and no company pays to be shown or ranked.
You're welcome to use Fair Fare directly or through an assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Meta AI. Please don't copy its answers or data in bulk, rebuild or resell it as a competing service, or work around its rate limits. For bulk access or a licence, write to fairfare@goodturnstudio.com first.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for fares paid or decisions made using it.
